Dark Sky Ireland, in collaboration with Sligo County Council, Leave No Trace Ireland, and the Irish Environmental Network, invite you to join us during Biodiversity Week for a FREE fun and information evening.
Join Ruth Hanniffy, Biodiversity Officer at Sligo County Council and Conservation Biologist as she leads us on a wonderful journey through Sligo’s night time biodiversity and educates us on how we can all do our part to protect it. 
Dark Sky Ireland will join to explain their goal for the protection of Dark Skies across the island and how they are advocating for effective Light Pollution Legislation which is currently non-existent in Ireland.  We will cross our fingers for a clear night sky to enjoy a little stargazing combined with an easy walk, listening for bats and and if the opportunity allows, a little tea & a chat!
