Irish Astronomy Week returns on Saturday March 1st with eight days of astronomical themed events nationwide.  The map below represents many events, most of which are library talks, some individual county libraries will be hosting their own events throughout their own county libraries.

Almost 2000 people attended the various themed events last year and with a beautiful conjunction of bright planets in the evening sky we hope more people will enjoy the talks and get to view this rare spectacle.

In the meantime keep an eye out on the event website above for information on the location, time and title of the many events where so many enthusiastic amateur astronomers and astro-photographers are giving their time to showcase this fantastic hobby for Irish Astronomy Week 2025.
